Hello this is Brian Murphy with A-Action Realty Inspection Services
bringing you another inspector moment through the eyes of the inspector. Today, I wanted to show you how thermal imaging works. I’m at a new construction property out in Rockwall Texas and during the inspection I found that we have good insulation in the wall cavities and in the ceiling areas and just wanted to kind of show you. See the red or oranges areas that means there is insulation on inside the wall area and also in on the attic floor in the attic area so during the inspection or during the thermal imaging in the master bedroom area if you will look the ceiling is not orange it’s blue. For thermal imaging it tells you that there’s no attic insulation on the attic floor in the master bedroom area. Here we are, we are looking back towards the door and you see the ceiling is still blue. As we move in towards the master bathroom you can kind of see the orange a little bit here on the ceiling floor of the master bathroom and as I move into the master bedroom closet you can see that it turns blue again. This tells me that there’s…the attic floor insulation is missing over the master bedroom and the master bathroom and master bedroom closet here. This is a good catch to have for our buyers, again this is new construction and this particular builder or the installer forgot to install insulation over these locations, another good reason to have new construction inspected as well. Again Brian Murphy with A-Action Realty Inspection Services bringing you an inspection moment through the eyes of an inspector.
